WOW, this could not come at a better time! I would give it all to my sister in law as my brother passed away this past summer and they lost everything their house and benefits and the sole income. We saved up what we could but nearing the end of my student teaching we were hit with an ice storm. With no power we had to get a hotel and now we are running on fumes. ReplyDeleteI run a small animal rescue and the money would be used on all of them. I would update housing and stock up on supplies so we could save more lives! Janurary is the start of surrender season, so we will see lots of new faces in the rescue and the money would definitely help!

ReplyDeleteYou have no idea how big of a blessing this would be! My daughter and son in law were living in an apartment and my youngest grand daughter was exposed to lead based paint. She ended up with lead poisoning. We moved them in with us and after doing so her lead levels rose. Which in turn brought the Health Department to our home. They needed to make sure she wasn't being exposed to lead that may be possibly coming from our home. And guess what? Everything that was tested for lead inside and outside our home failed the lead test. This has been a very expensive process and it has all come out of our pockets, as there are no grants for our county to help offset the cost of this. There might not be much under the tree for the kids, but knowing that we are on our way for a safe place for them to live is more than enough! This would be used to buy them Christmas that we can't afford.

I would also definitely donate a lot of toys to Toys for Tots to help make some Christmas magic for some kids! Toys for Tots is an amazing charity. My husband has actually been volunteering for the first time with the Toys for Tots Foundation this year!

ReplyDeleteWe are planning a trip the first of January 2014 to visit friends. We just found out that one of our friends just had surgery for a brain anerism (sp) and is in the early stages of Alzheimer's, so we really need to be sure to see him on our trip. This money would come in handy to pay for the gas from NC to IL.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all Thank you, and secondly I would love to win this prize money for the following reasons: This year has been a struggle for my family and I. My husband of 14years got laid off work and ever since have been struggling. He finally got a permanent job but barely making it by. So with that said we don't have anything for this christmas for our kids I would give anything to make my darlings smile. Also with my mother being diagnosed with advanced stage 4 kidney cancer being bed ridden was a little too much for me. My kiddos love this laughable lady but no longer smiles =( This will be a christmas I will never forget but winning this money will make this christmas a memorable one for my children and my mother she needs to pay some medical bills. ReplyDeleteThis would help us so much right now! I would for sure use this to help with bills, christmas, and my little girls second birthday. She is turning 2 December 30th and she has a pretty severe and resistant form of epilepsy with a genetic defect... :( Id love to give her what she deserves after all those hospitalizations and fighting that horrid epilepsy!

ReplyDeleteI would give most of it to my parents. We actually cancelled Christmas this year because we have no money. All the money we have is going to try and keep our house. Ever since my dad came home from Afghanistan over the summer we have hit problem after problem and we are struggling to keep a float. SO that is where it would go.
